    W shape A36 steel

I need to analyze existing W-shape girders for shear and moment. The structural steel is A36. I want to use the tables in AISC, but the steel values in the 14th editions are for Fy = 50ksi. What do I do?

Plywood Floor Panel Under Concentrated Load

Plywood floor decking supported by joists. Plywood has a concentrated load between joists. I used APA Panel Specification Design Tables to check the bending capacity, but I'm not sure what the critical failure mode of shear is. What is the check for punching shear through the plywood? Does shear...

    load spread through plywood

There is a temporary concentrated load on 3" of plywood on top of a concrete roof slab. How much will the load spread through the plywood? Is the spread 1:2, 1:1? Is there a reference for the spread of a concentrated load through plywood?

concrete roof on metal deck shear

I need to calc shear on a 4" concrete roof slab on 1.5" metal deck. The reinforcement is #4 @ 8" O.C. both ways. The metal decking is non-composite. In ACI 318-19 Table 22.5.5.1 for Vc, what is my bw and d. The reinforcement is not called out to a depth, so I was using d = 2"? What do I use for...

one way slab shear strength ACI 318-19 Table 22.5.5.1

I need to check shear from a point load on a 4" concrete slab on 1.5" metal decking (non-composite metal decking) reinforced both ways with #4 @ 8" O.C. Can I account for the reinforcement at all to resist shear, or can I only account for Vc according to Table 22.5.5.1?
