Hi. Can someone tell me the meaning of this error "failed to reorder the guide curves" in case of a surface lofting? I made sure that the guiding curve was pierced with the profile, still unable to figure out the problem.
It would be really great if you could explain lil bit considering my case (1mm/min displacement rate and 10mm displacement).
Because I tried doing that but did not work may be because of wrong input.
Also in case of using amplitude what shall I provide in the step module time increment?
Hello everyone,
I have to apply displacement rate as 1 mm/minute and total displacement should be up to 10 mm? can someone help me with the boundary condition to be used in ABAQUS?
Thank You.
I am giving shear displacement in my model and I want to find traction in a particular face. How to find traction in ANSYS or ABAQUS.
If anyone can help it would be really great.
Thank You.
My model is not a beam section. I am aware of the fact that for beam section I can calculate shear force in ANSYS or ABAQUS. But I am not understanding how to calculate shear force(any face) for my model? Your comments would be highly appreciated.

In this model I have given shear displacement. Boundary condition (BC) D is 0.5 mm displacement in X direction, BC B is 0.5 mm displacement in Z direction. BC A is displacement constraint in Z direction, BC C displacement constraint in X direction. What should be the BC for Y direction faces? I...
yes you are right. I already did that. But my motive is to mesh it with shell S4R element. I am unable to do that. Whenever I am trying with shell element its showing that contact error.
Hello everyone. I am using an user defined RVE in ANSYS Material designer. When I am trying to mesh my model it's showing an error that 'couldn't find bottom faces in Y direction'. I am not understanding what is this error and how to solve it. Can someone please help me with this?
Hello everyone. I am doing quasi static compression analysis in ABAQUS. For my model I am using 3D planar shell and there are two plates in the top and bottom of my model. Bottom plate will be fixed and top plate will be given loading velocity in Y direction. Top plate, bottom plate and my...
