We do have control on the temperature of the cooling tower, but when we are in lower capacity of the plant, we have to also reduce Tepid flow rate to maintain tepid outlet temperature at 47C.
HI every buddy, I have a vertical two pass heat exchanger with below sketch. It is cooling tepid water with cooling water with below temperatures. Tube side: Cooling in 25 C. Cooling out 32 C. Shell side: Tepid in: 57C, 15 psi, 2900 gpm. Tepid out: 47 C, 5 psi, 2900 gpm. I am going to install a...
Hi Ironic metallurgist, Low design experience can be fixed by work and study. But, Clearly your level of courtesy is not enough to be able communicate with others with respect. I hope you also find a way to fix that. Have a great weekend.
Hi everyone,
I am designing water to water heat exchanger, in my first try I have about 1000 tubes. The problem is in Kern book there is no shell ID match with this amount of tubes. Tube OD: 1 1/4 in. no of tube require 1070. Probably 2 passes tube. Thanks
I have most of the other data of size of system and impeller. Could you please let me know how I can calculate P1 with those information that you mentioned?
Hi dear friends, I have a formula in Kern book for shell delta p in heat exchangers with single segment baffles. But I did not found anything for" calculation of shell delta P with disc and doughnut baffles". Thanks
Thanks for the response, this is special design, the function of this agitator is moving molten salt between reactor jacket and salt cooler (a heat exchanger), I need to know how much flow gets into the heat exchanger. I have information of impeller size and electromotor power and RPM.
Hi dear engineers, I am trying to calculate flow, velocity and discharge pressure of an agitator that we have in our system. I have motor power, diameter and RPM of the impeller. Thanks
