I am thinking that I would prefer to use screws rather than bolts for the flitch plate to minimize any slippage at the connection down the road when the snow load is applied to the roof. But maybe with this arch style header & flitch plate this is not as much of a concern? Thank you...

Thank you for the response, I appreciate it. Since this is an existing home and I do not have any info on the existing trusses or manufacturer I am going to shy away from modifying the trusses and try to accomplish my work below the trusses.
