Controlling depth of separate counterbore. Bottom surfaces act as surface for alignment

I have added the call out ( composite ) as in the attachment. My concern with this is it will still allow the two bottom surfaces to have a height difference of 0.1in Max ( with +/-0.005 tolerance for 3 digits) Is there any call out or way to minimize this height difference? Thanks...

Controlling depth of separate counterbore. Bottom surfaces act as surface for alignment

Hi, Seeking for advise on how to control the depth of two separate counterbores bottom surface ( highlighted)? The surfaces need to move together. The bottom surfaces of counterbore need to be used as surfaces for alignment ( keep a plate horizontal). Can I use CZ or continuous feature? Please...

    Tangent Line as datum

Thank you everyone for your valuable feedback. I ended up using the holes as datum and profile control. Will share the feedback, if any, from the manufacturing department. Thank you

    Tangent Line as datum

Hi Burunduk, Thank you very much for your feedback. The part looks symmetrical, why one side only as datum feature C? --> I was hesitant to use the symmetry line as the 0.00 line since it is not a hard line that the user can see or easily measure since the corresponding symmetrical surfaces are...

    Tangent Line as datum

Hi 1) Can I use the tangent line in red as my third datum? If not then what would be the correct way? Please see the attached picture. Thank you https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=0363872a-fd22-42fa-898f-bcb149b8eae5&file=Datum_tangent.JPG

Dimensioning a symmetric feature_Need of half dimensions

Hi, This may be a very trivial question but do we have to always or at least a good idea to show the half dimension of a symmetric feature? Is there any part of ASME standard that described this? If it is then lot of half dimensions have to be added to drawing and what would be the tolerance of...
