In response to the question from KENVLACH; reports on saltwater corrosion on traditional soda glass 50 years old or more are of keen interest. Not the borosilicate or higher grades. Corrosion of glass in sea water
I'm doing research on the corrosion of glass in sea water and am trying to determine how high pH, alkalinity and hardness contribute. I have references that note water tends to leach out the soda and lime in glass but wondered if someone had more to say? Thanks, R.LaMotte- RLaMotte
