    Corossion Fatigue

I just want to see the effect of corrosion on life. I can't get a test done, so I'm just trying to figure it out by changing the surface roughness in the analysis program.

    Corossion Fatigue

Thank you so much. Fatigue is already a difficult issue on its own, and corrosion is included, it becomes even more complicated. :)

    Corossion Fatigue

Hi, Corrosion has a significant effect on the fatigue of metals. I cannot simulate it directly in the fatigue analysis software, but I am able to modify the surface roughness of the material. How much does surface roughness typically increase after corrosion (as a percentage)? Ideally, I...

    Subsonic vs. Supersonic Fatigue

Yes, you are right. As the aircraft accelerates, the temperature will also increase. Therefore, the g loads on the wing will also be very different. As a result, it is necessary to examine both situations separately in detail.

    Subsonic vs. Supersonic Fatigue

Yes, are thermal effects significant for both cases, or when going from subsonic to supersonic? I'm looking at the metal parts which are in the wings.

    Subsonic vs. Supersonic Fatigue

Subsonic Flight: Fatigue is primarily dominated by high-cycle fatigue (HCF) due to repetitive low-stress loading. The absence of extreme thermal fluctuations reduces the impact of thermal fatigue, leading to a longer material lifespan. Supersonic Flight: More severe low-cycle fatigue (LCF)...

    Bushing Contact

There is a bushing between the pin and the part. I am loading the part up and down. Therefore, I expect stresses to occur in the hole area of the part, but I am not sure which contact type I should give between the bushing and the part in Ansys. I think that if I give Bonded, it will not reflect...

Thank you so much. Thanks to you, I solved my problems :)

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

Does maneuver time have any significance for fatigue life? For example, will it make a difference in damage if an aircraft moving at 5g cruise reaches 6g in 10 seconds or 5 seconds? After all, it will have completed 1 cycle from 5g to 6g.

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

It will be unlimited re-use, recoverable. Thanks sharing for the source.

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

You are right, it's weigh is too much. Almost 5.5 tonne.

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

Thank you very much. It is totally up to me. I will continue to search.

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

Yes, I you want to develop a flight profile for a military UAV. I will look at the MIL-SPEC 6688. Maneuver loads are different than others, because much more load is created and the duration of the maneuver is also important. Actually, I want to find out, for a fighter UAV with a limit of 6g...

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

Thank you so much. Actually, although it is not like an F22 or F35, it's fatigue life can be +8000 hours :) after the design change.

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

I think this is not vague question. Although I posted two times different topics (vibration) in student forum, noone answered the question. Additionally, There was flight data on the previous plane and my job was easy, but now there is no flight data. There is only the design. When I look at...

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

I have done fatigue analysis before for UAV. Now, there is a fighter UAV which is different other, because it can do maneuver. Since there is not any flight data, I need to update the design according to the g forces that other fighter aircraft are exposed to

    Aircraft - Fatigue Load Spectrum

There is a metal connection connecting the wing to the body. Yes I do, I did the static analysis before the fatigue, however I do not have any flight data.
