    I did! But does a 2m failure wedge length (BE) make sense for a small 200mm circular footing? It's 10X of the foundation width. That is the confusion.

    UU gives undrained parameters on the other hand, CU and Direct shear give drained parameters (cohesion and Angle of internal friction). I think, Direct shear is not needed if CU conducted.
