    Two or three winding transformer cheaper

    THREE WINDING TRANSFORMER OF 300MVA IS OBVIOUSLY CHEAPER THAN TWO TRANSFORMERS OF 150MVA. BUT IS NOT WISE TO GO ON COST CONSIDERATION, AS THREE WINDING TRANSFORMER IS MORE PRONE FOR SHORT CIRCUIT FAILURE.
