High Knock Sensor Output on 1 out of 4...

A standalone ecm can be programed to ignore piston slap at light or off throttle, it will also give more of a marginof safety so you can run bigger injectors so they are never near saturation. Also does your intake flow evenly accross the cylinders? some engines notably the 3gte toyota mill in...

    Catalyst Control Function

fyi being one of the guys who fixes this stuff, most of the time a po420 will not come back if reset for some time if at all usually not at all, I have seen this repeatedly in the field, perhaps a bad tank of gas or some other transient condition that reduces combustion efficiency enough to...

    What turbo?

On my turbo project I am using a Garrett gt2540r it flows 44lbs per minute of air and sounds perfect for your application. Mine is going on a 4agze Mr2 motor which is a 1.6l. It is a t25 turbine housing with a bigger t28 wheel in it, and a 60-1 compressor housing dual ball bearing of course...

    Increasing Gear Durability

You could also swap in an e-51 transmission from an mr2 turbo if you are running a s series motor, or an mr2 sc or corolla gtz if you are running an a series. These transmissions are heavier but have been proven to live in 5oowhp mr2 drag cars. Or just don't drag race your celica, shift it...

Turbo charger selection and cam timing.

Sorry, .64 AR, also is available with a .84, but I wanted it to spool a little faster.

Turbo charger selection and cam timing.

I am working on a turbocharged 4agze myself, however I chose a Garrett gt2540r for my application my turbo supplier felt it will make full boost at 4800rpm, and it flows 44lb per min of air, so 400+ horsepower is attainable with decent spooling due to the smallish hot side and dual ball bearing...

I must have stumped Bosch - O2 question.

Talk to Robert Schrader at Bridge Analyzers in Alameda Ca. He can give you more info about a/f ratios, catalysts, and sensors than you will probably want to hear.

Benefits of ceramic coating chamber parts

Toyota has used a ceramic coating on the piston crowns on the 4agze engines, I believe the purpose being mostly to lower the oil temperature somewhat and raise the pistons heat tolerance.

toyota 4 Age con rod bearing problems

Do they swow any signs of oil starvation or are shells hammered like from detonation. #4 is usually the first one to go with oil starvation. Any coolant contamination? I think I would send out an oil sample for analysis and see if there are any silicates, also left over abrasives from...

toyota 4 Age con rod bearing problems

Are these stock rebuilds? What rod is failing? Toyota bearings or aftermarket? First of second generation ie 3 rib or 7rib blocks any additional information could be usefull.

Reducing NOX emissions in gasoline engines.

Was it next to the electric supercharger? :)

Reducing NOX emissions in gasoline engines.

Water injection will reduce nox in the same manner that an egr valve does, by cooling combustion temperatures somewhat. It will also remove carbon from the chambers over time, reducing compression.

Reducing NOX emissions in gasoline engines.

Have you tested pre-cat? A lot of aftermarket cats are not up to snuff when reducing NOX, for a commonly failing model such as yours, I would recomend a catalyst rated for a much heavier vehicle to get a good life span and effective reduction. That carb I believe is adjustable for dwell angle...
