Hello I wonder if anyone can help me on this.
I am trying to create a wavy washer, however I do not want to use a variable section sweep as the thickness of the part does not stay constant.
I saw a different way of doing this on Kinetivision before it became a pay service.
I have been looking...
It is possible to import Catia models into pro/e however a simple script that is supplied with proe will need to be run on the same machine that catia is on. The script is called proe_to_cat.bat or proe_to_cat4.bat.
See your help file on what you need to do to directly import catia models...
It depends on what you want. You can export DXF etc.
But if you want an image file and have no way of converting it to a jpeg for example. You can do this within proe. First export you tif file from you drawing. Open a part then open photorender. Open the image browser. You can now open your tif...

Hello ttx
Currently I am using 2001 build 360, however I have been using earlier builds with no problem.
Could you tell me exactly what you are doing, as it can't be far wrong.
I have found this feature very useful and quicker especially when aligning axis.
Have you tried changing the colours under View>Display settings then either entity colours or system colours.
Sometimes I change the system colours to black on white under the scheme menu.
Is this what you were after?
What do you want to know? Component snap is used to automatically place components. There are two settings that relate to this. The first is in your config.pro file. The setting is comp_snap_dist_tolerance (0.5 my setting) this sets the snapping tolerance.
The second is in the component...
To import a Catia file the Pro_to_cat utility needs to be installed on the machine that is running Catia, as this utility uses part of the catia program to convert the catia part to a format Pro/e understands. If you look at the size of the utility you will see it is too small and also it is a...
You can import dxf files into sketcher mode.
I can not remember exactly how to do this in 2000i2 as it has changed in 2001 but I think you get to it by file, append to file.
I know it can be done but I have found that dxf files work the best from Autocad however check the dimensions of the...
I am not sure if this is what you are after but try this. It contains two user parameters asmtitle and title1.
It lists each assembly separately and as far as I can remember it displays them in the order they appear in the model tree
.breakdown
%$type %$name
%asmtitle[-30.30s]
Contains the...
I will assume you have installed proe in the program files directory.
To display the help system you need to tell proe where your version of netscape or internet explorer is.
To do this run the file ptcsetup.bat. This file should be located in c:\program files\proe200i2\bin.
Run this file and...

Make the tube first as a normal revolve or something. Then apply the toroidal feature to the first section. I have made a quick part that is like this in proe 2001. If you want it let me know.
This is not perfect but its the best that I can do without spending a fortune.
Hello Recneps
Try using the toroidal feature in the tweak menu.
Create a straight feature fist then use the toroidal feature. This will do what you want as it will bend the part in both directions if you want. If you need more help on how to use this let me know at.
