Kyle,
You have obviously checked out your blade pitching moments, be careful though that by adding chord weights that you are not introducing Lateral vibrations?? I'm in favour of adjusting pre installed chordwise weights, but not adding or subtracting them. Also, Semi rigid rotors, pain in the...
I have done a lot of Dynamic Balancing on this installation, and find the rotor very sensitive to weight changes, and erratic phase angle behaviour often occurs during the process. I find that lifting into the hover, obviously applying torque to the transmission, will overcome the problems, but...
Check out www.vibro-meter.ch/aerospace/rotorcraft.html alternatively contact me at dunbar.a@meggitt-avionics.co.uk and I will give you a fuller run down on the equipment capability and service I can provide.
With reference to your rigid rotor, as I understand it, the rotor itself will generate vibrations at higher rotor orders, corresponding to the number of blades. If you are interested I have a solution to the issue of track and balance, which operates on exactly this theory. If you have an RTB...
I am writing a report, considering the variations involved in tracking a main rotor blade at the tip, or at the mid section, can anyone point me in the direction of a good diagram displaying how an MRB bends in flight? generic is fine, I realise that numbers of bending modes etc are variable.
