The change in DP is also dependant on the type and extent of tray damage. If you have missing and damaged valves but are operating at high rates your DP may not change as these valves would be running full open normally. If youu have more physical damage such as manway covers or tray panels...

Also because the butterfly valves were difficult to open and close it made dumping part IBC's to a specific weight near impossible and a bit more than messsy.

I worked for a company making tungsten carbide. We used IBC's with butterfly valves. If the powder was was at all sticky as many are, the valve only compounded the problem. The valves were also extremely difficult to open and close manually.

If monitoring this level is of great enough urgence, you may want to consider external gauges such as nucleonics. However this may be cost prohibitive based on the level of importance.
