    Transformer OIl testing

Does anyone know of a good source ( book etc ) on the ins and outs of transformer oil testing. I have a 18kv/115kv unit that we are watching very closely due to gassing issues and would like to gather as much info on testing as I can. Thanks in advance

    NFPA 70E

The PPE tables in NFPA 70E are adequate for most applications. Most industrial plants do not have the gobs of money needed to do a full blown flash study, and these tables are written for them. They are quite conservative and tend to err on the "safe side".

    Surplus GSU Transformers

I have a 3 year old GSU transformer that looks like it will need to return home for some repairs. It is still operational, but we are not betting the farm on it. Does anyone know a good site to find such things. 18kv delta, 120kv wye 230 mva. Thanks
