    The file could be an export file you should import with catimp or the file is transported with a ftp program as an ascii file it should be transported as a binary file.

    I don't think it is possible to save the approach and retract macros yet, but you can copy the operation from one part to another or put the operation into a catalog. With the catalog it is also possible to save a complete sequence of operations.
