We are replacing an existing old vertical turbine pump with a new one. Unfortunately, the new pump bolting dimensions (24" centre of bolt to centre of bolt,total of 4 bolts) are larger than the existing pump bolt dimensions (18" centre to centre).
The existing concrete pad is 22"x22"x24"high...
Is a VAV system better than VVT system ? Which is more expensive ? What are the advantages/disadvantages? I have a new single level office building (offices, lockers, meeting rooms, computer room, lunch room. Total 6000 sq ft) to design in the west coast.

How can I determine the heat loss from 2" PVC pipe (carrying H2SO4)at 100 deg F to the ambient air (assume 85 deg F) ? There is no wind and pipe length is 4265 ft. Is there any software available ?

according to ASME B31.3 2004 edition, is cold spring allowed to be used to reduce loads on equipment ? I don't have the latest code yet and I hear there are changes to cold springing.

1. Area 3 is highly radioactive so it is totally inaccessible. Therefore, no doors. Air cascades in thru HEPA assemblies only.
2. we try to maintain -0.1" wg in area 1 rel to atm, -0.4" in area 2 and -1.4" in area 3.
