As for the naming patterns, it is rather common in the cad community. Adesk has been doing it since ACad 02 or 04. I hope I get the SW08 soon, as I got a new notebook with that
damn Vista on it.

Typically we test a sweeping sine wave of 10-200 hz at 1-5Gs, for a period of time per axis. I am not sure which data we are looking for exactly, but one of the things we do look for is when does a component break. Of course in some cases, this may be a lot higher than 15Gs.
The parts being...
Thanks gents for the recommendations.
Here are several we are looking at:
American Testing Laboratory - S. Hackensack NJ
Clark Dynamic Testing Lab - Jefferson Hills Pa
ESSC Test Lab - Cincinnati OH
Datasyst - Delafield WI
NU Labs - Annandale NJ
I found the Dayton T. Brown lab but the boss...

I'm thinking it might be that it is a demo.
Some items are grayed out and cannot be used
like shell. But I have not gone thru everything
yet.
I think Inventor would let you use sketch geometry
on a second sketch.

I noticed two things and was wondering if it
was just that my AD was a trial issue. Can you
use existing geometry to locate sketch objects?
I.E. dimension off of an existing edge to locate a hole.
Can you initiate a sketch on a face without using
a new work plane?

Scott,
I work mostly in mechanical with castings,
plastics and sheet metal. This is more of an
"I'm curious" prospect.
Besides, I feel the more CAD programs I am familiar
with, the more opportunitites there are when I am
looking for a job (God Forbid I need to do that again).

I think we only need something for forward, reverse, local/remote and menu. We have ideas of what to use
but that is as far as we have gone. We have a meeting
today and will go over these and discuss additional ideas
before sending out to our expanded group.

Found similar signs thru HCS.
I was not clear enough, my bad.
I need images like that on a control panel.
We know stop and go, but that's about it.
I am contacting several vendors to see if they
have anything, but no word yet.

ISO --> International Standards Organization
Simply put, graphics used to replace common words for
multi-lingual use.
i.e. a circle in red instead of the words stop, alto, etc.

We are looking for ISO graphics we can utilize on
product design, i.e. keypads. Does anyone know of
a site where I can find graphics for reference without
paying a tanks worth of gas??

Call one of these companies direct, 3M and Lord are typically good. Or try a vendor like Ellsworth Adhesive.
In any case call, do not email, and have the data sheets emailed to you.

Thanks. Since we make the products, we can drive our vendors towards using it if we prefer it. I will be looking for more info. If I find any free info, I will place it in a post.

Does anyone know of a book or site which goes over Design Journal? I am looking for the "How To's" to move towards a more paperless design in regards to vendors.
Thanks
Adam
