I need a 50 foot thermococple wire ANSI type J Iron/ Constantan. The book says the total resistance of the two leads shall be 2 ohms for correct temp indication. How would I determine the wire diameter?
Thanks der8110 and kontiki99.
To answer your questions. The parts are replacing used parts, and nothing is made for resale. The shop in question is not a FAA repair station. It has been in business many years but is running into problems recently. They have an extensive knowledge of the standards...
Can a non FAA shop make cables and or fluid lines to be used on aircraft. They are only made to customers samples. They supply material certs, and test results. And they use calibrated gauges. This question has come up many times.I guess my question is could they be an Approved vendor?
Repair says flame spray SF aluminum to above mil std. grind to dimension .Hard anodize to mil std . Its a cessna part . Military application. Repair info is a T.O..
Have a part that required flame spray Mil-Std-869,Then hard anodize Mil-a-8625 type III. First attempt flame spray pitted and peeled after anodize. Flame sprayer says you cant anodize over flame spray.Does anyone know about these processes?
Im trying to form a corrogated repair.Material is .016 2024.With T3 it wrinkle's and cracks.With O im concerned with warping.Section is rather large.Any ideas?
