I'm using INV7. When I model a part, and I use the hole tool to create a hole with threads, holes that should be of different sizes measure the same using the measure tool.
When I create threaded holes in parts, the size of hole is messed up. For instance, I'll create holes with the different thread specification, but I can see that the holes are the same size in the model. Using the measure tool shows that the holes have the same diameter. Is there a way to fix...
Awsome. That worked perfectly. Thanks Sean. I deleted some fonts a while back because I had alot of similar and seemingly useless fonts. Obviously, I did not realize that I'd be needing those two... Scarey how you knew which ones they were ;). THanks!
Inventor is having trouble showing hole annotation symbols correctly for me. I created a custom hole annotation to show what inventor does when it tries to place an annotation symbol: http://danielwong125.tripod.com/temp/holes.jpg. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.
I think my way still works, although I too am anal about doing things the "right" way (but I'd rather stay in inventor :p). You can constrain to the origin of the sketch by first projecting the 3d origin of the part (ie, use the project tool in sketch on the origin of the part). Alternatively...
Someone else probably has a better explanation than I, but here's what I would do: when you place the drawing in your sketch, use auto demension and everything will be constrained and demensioned so lines dont move relative to one another. Then you can constrain a point on the drawing to the...
Thank you Sean. Is there a way to automate naming? For instance, if I have an ipart for an 8020 extrusion, and I want the file to be named according to my custom length like: 1010 - <length>. Is there a way to do that? Thank you again.
Is there a way to automate file naming with iparts with custom parameters? Also, what is the difference between the following icons? http://danielwong125.tripod.com/temp/index.html. Thank you!
