    anchorage into URM

    I am looking to use some hilti hy20 epoxy anchors into an 8" red brick wall to resist in-plane shear loads only. The problem is that the ICBO report(ER 4815) only gives values for anchors w/ 8" of embed. into brick walls with a minimum thickness of 13 inches!! What am I missing here...

    effective CMU lintel depth for O.O.P. loads

    I can't find any guidelines on how much CMU lintel depth you are allowed to consider for out of plane loads. Specifically, a wind load from a large window below.
