In reply to all who have posted,
Two well known industry suppliers have suggested Seal Plans & pump materials which are suitable for the application.
The seal plans offered were Burgman 11+52+61.
Thankyou for all the help & advice
Dubmac,
You appear to not have read or understood the thread.
The customer has specified the seal plan (this is a very large petrochemical company), so they know what they are doing.
I am not guessing/googling a seal solution.
What I was looking for was a comparison of API 682 seal plans...
I have become involved in a project where a client needs API pump & 682 seal plans.
They have specified 1CW-FX as the preferred plan. I am relatively new to the pump seal plan world, so apologise if this appears to be a trivial question
How does this relate to the numbering system Eg Plan 11+52...
ISO 5199 will cover you, but I think you have to be careful in selection with methanol, ensure that all the wet components are methanolsafe
Try Dickow Pumpen

Dear all,
I am no expert in the field of PLC programming-but i wondered if anyone could give me a few hints on how to export "analogue data" from a 315-2DP to excel format so i can then graph it in Excel.
I have a datablock set up where the analogue values are held...but how do I then for...
bchoate:
Thanks for the reply. I have heard that by diluting the sample of the solution with water that a more reliable pH reading can be obtained, as I am not a Chemical Engineer I have no idea if this is infact true. However, is there some other method that could be used to detect the...
Does anyone have any experience of measuring the pH of a water glycol solution (90% by wt glycol) at 40 Degree C.
When using litmus paper I tend to get a reading 1,5 to 2 points lower than using a pH electrode.
One more question, is MEG stable when in contact with standard motor gas or will it...
jraef, we own the software,by saying "without having to pay Siemens" I talk about the additional package called dat@monitor.
We, my company use, external programmers, to construct the WinCC applications for our customers. Sometimes we are asked about exporting the trend data to csv format. The...
Does anyone know how to export historical data from Wincc to csv format without having to pay Siemens?
Also how to get rid of the "i" (integer) mark in the trend screens for WinCC
thanks
After consulting with quite a few people what we have done is turned off the harware error reporting at the remote I/O station (Stahl harware) & put a trend in the WinCC system to see which error number the profibus/S7 reports from OB1.
we will then use this error number to go to the next step...
New connectors were installed, switches have been checked.
Earthing has also been checked....in fact at one poit we isolated earth on the Profibus cable at the connector at the slave ends.
PLC diganostics says, when the error occurs:
Module fault present in the event window
Details
Module type...
We have an installation using Profibus DP connecting the master (315-DP) to a PC running S7 with CP5611 card & a remote i/o station (Stahl).
Comms speed is 187kbps. It was 1,5Mbps.
Problem is I continuaaly get regular coomunications hang ups. I have laid new Profibus cables & installed a new...
Flare companies are Zeeco, John Zink, Callidus
Membrane systems: Borsig or UOP
You will find it difficult to separate the methane out cheaply. The bet solution is possibly a membrane system plus a compression unit. The membrane would get rid of the CO2 (or most of it) & give you an amount of...
Flame arrestors, by nature are "labryinth" construction & therfore are highly likely to trap any particle of similar/larger size to the sintered pellets of which they are made.
We use flame arrestors in industry on vapor retrun lines, they require flush cleaning once every 18 months or so.
If...
Gents,
I see that this thread is getting out of control.
I managed to talk with Siemens...eventually.They will send new license disks....but there is still no real answer as to why ALM makes a mess of the transfer. I have had all kinds of "duff" ideas from Siemens.
So....no I do not have NAV...
No there was no defrag.
There is no dual core system.
I've tried contacting Siemens but get real annoyed when I'm handed around to different parts of the system then back again like a merry go round.
Seems that this is a common problem that Siemens keep trying to bury under "you made a mess...
