1.. MMIC type amplifiers are rarely suitable for providing this type of isolation and buffering. The input impedance of the buffer should be high to prevent loading of tha oscillator and the buffer stage should have good reverse isolation (S12) specs.
2.. A discrete buffer using a single FET as...
Protel is about the best at a reasonable price. THe older versions were a little unstable but I have been using Protel 98 for three years and recently switched to Protel 99SE which seems very stable (I can work on an open file for two days without a crash!)
It just depends on how much you want...
I have the book but not the solutions manual. IN fact I used the book as text for a course I used to teach and I was not aware of a solutions manual!!!
Try www.powells.com - this is the sort of thing the often get.

You will basically need to use a switch mode design at high frequency, about 25kHz or higher. These use square waves run by special purpose regulator IC's. The transformers are ferrite cored and will usually have to use either heavy copper wire or copper strap to handle the current. High...
Check the Analog Devices site. I recall they recently introduced a specific phase detector chip. It may not operate low enough in frequency for you though.
Opto isolation is perhaps most ocmmonly used to eliminate potential problems of earth loops, noise loops and potentail exposure to high voltage. In a hostile indiustrial environment or where high voltage difference spotentially exist is is near ly essential. In other circumstances, especially in...
