Thanks for the quick reply, and great info.
I'll have to labor a few calculations, and after I tune a few of these I'll know more about the BSFC's and efficiencies.
On a Roots blown 4.6 with 650rwhp, these variables are going to throw off the equestions/results, but atleast I can get an...
Application: Forced induction Gas Engine
Do my own tuning, want to write my own calculator so I can plug in VE and HP (all other variables being at STP, etc)
And come up with Mass Air requirement, which I can convert ot KG/Hr
For sizing or calibrating MAF measurment range.
So
I know how to...
methanol is corrosive, so most metals with get EATEN by methanol. Which exact metals or if All I'm not sure.
Also, on several occassions I have seen turbo housings GLOWING ORANGE from heat after a high end run. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable injecting a flamable liquid with air, into...
Ok well I've read up quite a bit, I don't think running the xylene for a few quarter mile runs will add too much soot, especially just a 60/40 mix with petrol. Although some acetone wouldn't hurt. The a/f won't be especially rich, the flick of a few buttons, and a tank of gas later it's back...
Thanks for the info guys, I should have known better than to post before searching...
Soot is bad, thanks for the fyi.
Off to sift through the archives.
Happy Holidays.
So I was going to the store the other day for some nice paint stripper. And I saw this big canister of 100% Xylene.
For some reason it reminded me of my Supercharged 4.6 liter V-8 running 500hp on pump gas.
Some times I'll tweak the tune to the ragged edge with the timing and A/f ratio before...
