[2thumbsup][2thumbsup]Thanks Looslib,
I don't know how I missed this. Maybe I did not have 'mass_property_calculate' set to automatic when I first tried it and so missed teh revised mass updating.
This thing has been bugging me for years.
Cheers. !!!
What is the system parameter for the Mass Of An Assembly?
&PRO_MP_MASS is the Mass parameter for a part and as such can be added to a Part Drawing in a note.
What is the equivalent for an assembly. I want to add the mass of an assembly to an Assembly drawing.
Cheers,
SPEEDY
BTW. I am using...
I have created an assembly which has a 'family table' with 4 different configurations. I want to creat a report in a table on a drawing where I list the 4 configurations and then list the parts in the assembly for each configuration. If that makes sense?
I've used the system parameter...
I have just purchased "Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 for Personal Use". I also use the professional version at work (4.0 also).
I want to use all the templates / formats from work.
It will open the Config.pro and *.dtl files ok, but wont recognise the 'drawings formats' and Part and Assmebly...
Cheers, robertib.
I found it.
I knew it had to be something simple.
Wonder why they changed it. I never actually used that dashdoard in W2.0.[2thumbsup]
Hi Guys,
I have just started using Wildfire 4.0. It was Wildfire 2.0 before this.
The problem I am having is with the measure function, as in " Analysis / measure ". I want to measure the distnce between two parallel surfaces on seperate parts. I find it very difficult to pick up a surface in...
I created a drawing but I unticked the "Copy Associated Drawings" by mistake.
When I save a copy of the part file, no drawing file is created.
How do I edit the original part file so that the drawing will be copied too?
Thanks...[cry]
The problem is the flow is not steady state. As expected the down stream presure increases as the chamber is filled. Also the gases are not mixed until the inlet of the chamber.
Upstream pressure to the supply regulators may also fluctuate. Flow is also only on for only a few secs.
Gas Metering Pumps - are there such things ?
We have an application that requires 2 combustible gases (fuel gas and Oxygen)to be mixed in-line and then filled into a chamber where the mix is ignited. Not only should the volume ratio be accurately controlled but also the degree of mixing.
We...
I used the /table/paginate/ command directly in the drawing.
This divides the table ae required.
I still would like to know if it is possible to define this in the drawing format itself.
Thanks,
Speedy
I am creating a BOM on a drawing using a table with Repeat Regions.
There are simply too many parts in my assembly and the table continues way down past the drawing border.
How can I divide the table in 2, one beside the other. That is - limit the maximum no of rows and then start a new table...
Guys,
Thanks for all your informed opinions.
To be honest, I have very little knowledge about FEA, only what I vaguely remember from college.
My point though, is as follows.
I appreciate what Johnhors is saying about bending on a 90deg welded plate. The larger stresses are at the area of the...
Problem as follows;
We have a large cast component which is the main part of a structural frame of a hydraulic press type machine. In service loads are high cyclic tensile, clamp unclamp etc.
To save on cost & lead time it is advised that we produce the part from welded plates. Stress relief...
Question - 1
Anybody know where I can find a list of the System Parameters on Pro Engineer - Wildfire 2.
Question - 2
I want to export a full level BOM all Parts & sub-assems)to Excel. Is this possible?
If not, how can I do it on a drawing.
I created a BOM on a drawing format before but it...
I want to make up a spreadsheet that will calculate the friction pressure loss in piping for different gases.
I found the 'Darcy Weisbach' equation but I have a few questions as follows -
Can this equation be used for compressible gases. One source says valid only for...
Sorry let me add also -
The application is simply to place internally on the bottom of the chamber under the tooling to dampen any vibrations from the combustion. I believe any elastomer will help greatly, it doesn't have to be high in inherent damping.
Sorry Guys - let me be a little clearer.
The ignition temperature of the gas is between 2500C and 3300C, as the ratio of fuel mixture and charge pressure can be varied.
The 100C maximium - this refers to the external temperature of the chamber which is water cooled.
As for cycle life - we can...
Actually peak temperature range from 2500 to 3300 Deg Celcius. Remember this is the peak temperature of the combusting gas.
The chamber is externally water cooled and maintained below 100C.
We use ordinary mild steel for trial tooling and stainless for production.
I know it is a long shot but...
I require an elastomer that will survive at least a couple of hundred cycles in a high pressure combustion chamber. Peak temperatures of 2,000 C or more.
It's application is to protect metal parts that bounce around when the o2/ch4 mixture is ignited.
Am I asking too much?
I have requested...
