Is there anyone that has a formula for use in the sheet metal environment which will calculate properly for stainless steel. I would like to modify the equation in my custom/table folder in S15. Please advise.
Thank you.
When I was using V14 for sheet metal design, I altered the PZL file in the Table folder. Existing formula is good for mild steel, but shrinkage for stainless is about half.
The old equation was PZL=ItoM((R + m_CurrentThickness * k/2) * PI *A/180))
I needed it to be half the actual amount so...
I keep getting kicked out of SE15. It usually happens when I am working in an assembly environment.
I posted a similar thread prior, but no takers have arisen.
Hopefully someone has an answer. Windows XP pro is the operating system.
Regarding my previous post of abrupt V15 terminations. It seems to mostly happen when I am in the assembly environment, highlight a part, and select open in Solid Edge part for editing. Hope this helps a little bit more.
Just upgraded to V15 on a new machine with XP pro. The program has ubruptly terminated a few times already. Is there some sort of update patch which needs to be downloaded or other tasks which need to be configured after install.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
While in the draft environment, I encounter views which are surrounded by (4) highlighted corners. Usually (1) continuous border disappears with an update. But these corners do not.
What are the (4) individual corner markers signifying? How do I get rid of them?
Any help is much appreciated.
While in the .dft environment, I find it impossible to align the dimensions unless they are horizontal or vertical. How do I allow the dimension to show a true length between two points when there is an angle involved. It seems to want to default to horizontal or vertical.
Any help would be...
A great deal of my time will be spent modeling stainless steel sheet metal assemblies. Due to the varying shrinkage between stainless and mild steel, can I alter the neutral factor within the bend formula to generate a more accurate flat layout DXF? We will be making most parts in-house. Does...
