Civic is a IMA parallel hybrid, what limits the accel I believe is mainly coming from the E-motor/Generator and the engine capacities. Depending on what performance that you are referring to, i.e There might be possible to booth the 0-60 performance with WOT on the ICE with the IMA full capacity...
