Pneumatic control & sensor components help

One more thing before I close this thread that yes you can control both pressure and flow simultaneously by using Proportional-Air method as attached http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=01882705-1e44-4839-9c99-07c62695924a&file=dl0442c_Flow&Press.pdf

Never mind. I dig up the old Crane app note for needed equations.

Pneumatic control & sensor components help

dcasto, I'm back. The project was put on hold due to priority. Now it's back on my desk and have short time window. How do you calculate regulator size that gives approx 12 CFM at 12 psi? Is there any equation, java applets somewhere to make my life a bit easier on those things? And also what...

Pneumatic control & sensor components help

Thanks Roy. I haven't settle on anything yet. Currently I am looking at Proportional-Air devices and will have a meeting with their Reps soon. I will take a look at the Brooks 5850i.

Pneumatic control & sensor components help

Thanks for the inputs, guys, and especially to dcasto to catch my error. Your suggestion is what I'm looking for. It's like force voltage measure current and clamp the meas current at certain range. Jim Cassey, I couldn't find any 1358-8800 manual anywhere at their site. Either it's 1358 or...

Pneumatic control & sensor components help

Thanks for your input Keith. My inflation system will shut off once the unit under test achieved their inflated pressure but before that, the system needs to deliver constant flow rate at constant pressure, ideally within the range 1.5 to 2.5 minutes. I know Omega carries these lines but do...

Pneumatic control & sensor components help

It's shop air compressor can produce 19.5 SCFM @100psi.

Pneumatic control & sensor components help

I am tasked to build an in house inflation system. It seems that I get lost in finding required components for my system using Google and the net so I need your expert's help to direct me to vendor & parts. I need to regulate & monitor a compressed air supply to a constant 12 SCFM and also to...

Is this torsion spring custom made?

Thanks guys. I would hope that with millions of spring loaded test sockets out there, there would be a ready made off-the shell springs like that to be available.

Is this torsion spring custom made?

I'm designing a rf test fixture required a torsion spring to open the test socket. I couldn't find any commercial torsion spring like the one sketched below (regular torsion spring with leg bent toward the opposite end of the spring) even though in the test & meas industry, there is at least one...

    Testing electronic components for manufacturers

It's true fortifiied, that in addition to the burdern of testing devices to milspec where many today ICs with finer geometry are not specified to operate under extreme conditions of -55C/+125C, we have to put in considerable amount of time to process data. This sub-contracting test industry also...

    Testing electronic components for manufacturers

okjoe, I see your dilema. I work for a small test lab doing IC qualification & screening for space & defense industries, many of them obsoleted. I design test adapters and write test software for opamps, ADC, DAC, modulators, demodulators, RF & microwave mixers, amplifiers, VCO and many other...
