Determination of Centroids for ANSI Fittings

I would like to do a manual calculation for supports in a piping system and want to use the method outlined in the Piping Handbook. I need the position of the centroids for elbows, tees, flanges etc... for standard ANSI fittings. Does anyone know where i can find this information?

    PSV Sizing

TD2K, thanks for the response. I cannot download the file, is it perharps on the Anderson Greenwood website? If yes, what is the doc name? I am not very farmiliar with ASME BPV. If i choose an ASME rated PSV then i should use the AMSE derating factor of 0.9 correct. Where can i find the formula...

    PSV Sizing

I want to size a PSV as per API RP 520 PT1. Two suppliers come up with different sizes for the same specified flow. I have checked this and come to realise that it is the discharge co-efficient that produces the different results. According to API RP 520, one can use a discharge co-efficient of...

Pressure rating of NPT Pipe Nipples

B1.20.1 has many drawings and descriptions. For my particular case "1" SCH 80 seamless nipple (threaded to ASME B1.20.1 NPT) made of A106 Gr B pipe " @ 20deg C - what would the pressure rating be from a B31.3 perspective. Can you show me what values you use and where to find it in B1.20.1?

Pressure rating of NPT Pipe Nipples

How do i calculate the pressure rating of pipe nipples. ASME B31.3 says that i should subtract allowances for threading, where do i find this dimension (thread dimension for subtracting from pipe WT) in ASME B1.20.1? If i had a 1" SCH 80 seamless nipple (threaded to ASME B1.20.1 NPT) made of...

    Pressure Rating of Extruded Headers

metengr, thanks for the quick response. So if i have a 6" SCH 40 A106 Gr B Piping. Using B31.8 (with location class 1) seamless pipe at 20degC i calculate a pressure rating for the pipeline of 176 barg. If i ordered a 6" SCH 40 A216 Gr WPB (same SMYS) then it would have the same rating i.e...

    Pressure Rating of Extruded Headers

Hi, i am trying to find the pressure rating of a 6 inch SCH 40 ASTM A234 WPB equal tee according to ASME B31.8 (similar to ASME B31.3). The code requires a dimension Ro (radius of curvature) which the supplier does not have and is not sure about. I check some old material certs and it does not...
