Try to use symmentry to simplfly the model. Ansys is more stable for meshing thin layers also. You can also try to mesh finer in the thin layer and do a course mesh for the larger substrate you have.
I have had similar problems for a long time. I am now using Pro/E with Ansys. The integration works seamlessly. IGES imports are a nighmare if you handle assemblies. It works most of the time for individual parts.
How can I export Ansys data to Excel. I have run some transient thermal analysis in Ansys Professional. I was plotting the results using Time Histograph in Ansys. The plots are Temperature vs Time for a load step.
Can I input Load and time in a table for simulation Pulse application. The load is the heat input. I would like to see the temperature rise when the heat input is turned ON for 0.5sec and turned OFF for 0.5sec.
Thanks
Has anyone simulates Pulse application (Semiconductor Laser) using Ansys. How do you input load as a function of time as I have power turned ON for 0.5sec and turned OFF for 0.5sec. I would like to see the temperature rise during Pulse operation.
Thanks.
