seal flush iping plan & quench

I'd like to know about seal flushing and quench system used for a centrifugal pump. I have studied API 610, app.D, but I'd like to know how and based on which condition a seal flush plan is selected. when a quenching is also required? Thanks in advance

control valve on gas blanketing line for a tank

When a storage tank is blanketed with Nitrogen, which case is better : applying one control valve on nitrogen line entering the tank or 2 control valve, one of them on entering N2 and the other on outgoing gases and N2 from the tank. In first case outgoing gases can be drained through PVSV.

    valve body material

I have a question about body material of valve. Which type of material is suitable when the fluid is contain 25% (mole) of CO2 and 75% H2S? Can carbon steel be used as body material or only stainless steel is suitable? What ASTM codes are used for this case? Thanks in advance

    back-pressure calculation

first, thanks I meant the pressure of gas at connection point is 2bara ( at 12" pipe),i.e. after calculating and considering pressure loss.

    back-pressure calculation

I need some basics about back-pressure. My problem is about sour gas flowing through a 12” pipe(branch) with pressure of 2 bara @ 39.45 deg.C. can it enter into a 52” or 24” header which sour gas with press. Of 1.5 bara @ 38 deg C is flowing through it? thanks

    Vapor pressure in NPSH calcuation

sometimes I make doubt about basics, one of them is as follows: Assume that we have a pressurized vessel containing e.g. LPG and N2 is used for blanketing and its operating pressure is 8 bara at 20deg.C, so vapor pressure is 8 bara? it means that in NPSHa calculation Pa=Pv. Is it true? Don't we...
