    Pressure Equipment Directive

    The PED is not a code, it is a law. The PED requires certain Essential Safety Requirements (ESR's)are met. It is possible to use any code or no code and still comply with the PED. B31.3 by itself will not satisfy all the PED ESR's, but it is a good starting point.
