What i would say is from our position the drawings were clear to us that they were Fabrication drawings and the holes were to be to the Fabrication tolerances and only where they had stipulated machining symbols were we too machine these as this is just what...
Thanks for the replies all.
I suppose the root cause of this issue is what's the correct answer to this question :-
Q. If a fabrication drawing on a structure with PFC ,plates etc has dimensioned holes on it i.e 4 x 18Dia holes , and then a tolerancing table like the attached then would you...

I tend to agree it wasn't clearly specified so what they are now asking for is unreasonable, I'm not familiar with ISO 8015 to be honest can you clarify what this Standard is called ?

Hi
We are manufacturing a fabricated frame to a customers supplied drawing and they are now highlighting that the holes should be put in to machined tolerances rather fabrication tolerances as we had assumed and priced.
The holes themselves don't have specific machining symbols associated to...

I'm not really sure what the Synergic part does on a Welder , but i thought it has the capability to adjust Parameters like Arc length as you weld to assist you rather than it presets them but i may be wrong.
I think my client just wants to know exactly what...
Hi
I am wondering if anyone has an example of a Synergic WPQR & WPS that they don't mind sharing?
A problem has arisen where we have submitted Mig/Mag WPQR & WPS for a job and the client has now seen that they were done by a synergic welding machine and because they don't like automated...

I must admit i haven't heard of this method before and although i really like it i can maybe see a couple of issues with our construction namely
1) Our Joins could be as much as 700mm down into a sheet so would need a bespoke machine setup to be able to perform this...

We have a large Pipework Assembly that we have modelled ( see attached file) Each Colour of pipe is itself an...
We have a project where we need to manufacture some Pipework brackets from Mild Steel. We therefore need to calculate the load that the pipework will apply to the brackets and this is where we need some help if possible. I have attached the loads the Pipework Designer has specified to enable me...
