I used API 530 to calculate the tube max. skin temperature.
In the Annex B.4 Maximum tube metal temp section, the different temp is calculated by equ B.9 , B.10, B.11.
But in the Annex B, they did mation where I can get the thickness and the typical fouling factor for coke or scale...
When we replace one existing furnace in the site.
Ther are some steam line with fule gas line at bottom of the furnace.
And in the convection zone also have some steam line inject into the furance.
I just want to know what is the steam used for?
Is the bottom steam line is for pulverize the fuel...

when I used the ACOL to checking one existing air cooler, I found the air side outlet temperature is higher than the fluid inlet side temperature.
I check the vendor datasheet , is also.
Is this possible the temperature in the aircool , for the shell tube the temperature is inpossible...
