keep a force from one step to the next

I have two load steps. In the first one I am stretching a part with a load, In the second step I am then bending the part but I want the load the was applied in the first step ( I dont wont to reapply it again and defeat what I was trying to do), How do I do that? Do I just remove that force in...

change load from displacement to force

That is what I was planning to do. I was just seeing if I could replace it with a force within one of the steps. That way I would not have to back calculate and rerun if it was over or under the applied force. Brandon

change load from displacement to force

I have a rigid surface I am moving into a deformable surface. I want to initially move it with displacement since it will converge faster, but once I am in contact I want to replace it with a specific force. How do I do that in Ansys. Thanks bwgr
