Hi, i need to import Point data into Pro-e WF2
I've created iges files with the point data but pro-e seems to always want to convert these to splines not keep them as datum points.
I'm competent with VB & Solidworks but not pro-e. Can anyone suggest how i can manipulate simple xyz data and...
would be a way around the problem, but unfortunatly our document managment system is very strict (R&D medical) and as such I cant have ghost Asm's. Even the way I've done it is not good and if the wrong person realises then they will throw a fit!

Can seem to do that with Assemblies but not with just a single part (WF2 250Cut).
Had to create lots of instances and display them!! Very messy
– If anyone is listening Please, Please, Please let me use SolidWorks, heresy I know but . . . Engineers should not be spending time working out how...
Hi,
can someone please tell me if i can show different representations of the same model within a single sheet on a drawing in Pro-E WF2?
I cant use different models to achive it as the models are all controlled parts and our QA system will not let me do this.
Thanks

Hi I'm after some advice
If I have a component that must flex 50 times through its life (2 months), I have an automated test fixture that will flext the component and check for a failure, (true return position).
If I wanted to prove that the component woudl not fail in normal operation say to...
ok thanks for that, i need to digest some of it tho.
on the 12 & 24 volt to 5 volt. I'm assuming that for a vf of 1.25v and if=2 mA, id need a 11k resistor for 24v and 5.1k for 12 v.
my input signal would go to the resistor then to pin 1, through the led then out of pin 2 to ground.
Pin 4...
Shifting your weight will steer the bike (sportsbikes anyway). There's a fixed steering R6 that i've ridden to prove the point that you can ride.
You effectively tilt the bike, and apart from cog, you have different tire profiles front and rear so all this helps you turn.
I race, and apart...
Hi,
I need some help.
I'm interfacing an analogue sensors to a 5 volt dc micro.
The sensors have a mv output, 0 to 100mv & 0 to 2.5v
I need to scale the signals to 0 to 5v dc and i've been told that i need a high impedance input.
How do i do this? I have 5, 10 & 12 vdc availiable.
I also...
I have a question about how the anti-static additives in polystyrene works.
And additionally what test methods exist, I only know of a decay method. The test does not seem to give results that I can corrolate to experiances 'in use' and the environmental impact that seem to occur.
Reduced engine breaking also helps maintain corner entry speeds, & yes most racers could go a ot quick if they had the bottle. Do it once and you find that you repeat it.
One of the bigger benefits of a slipper clutch

Well I sort of agree, the principle of compression vs the effort of pulliin the mixture of air in to the cylinders.
What I can say is if I get an injected bike to 9000rpm in first and kill the engine on the stop switch with the throttle dropped to idle & glide to a stop on engine braking, I...
Ok, I know about the ones you can buy, I've had STM, Sigma & Suter. Ther's no question on thier operation or benefit, some are better than others, suter was the best I've had.
The question is not what is out there but what else could we do in stead?
for example, why dont we run 5000rpm...
Ok, slipper clutches assuming that we all know what they are & the basic principle of operation (if not ask!)
I'm convinced that they are of serious benefit to the racers among us, & even to those of us that just have fun on the street or track.
But my latest race bike has not got one, & the...
I've raced bikes for a while, from 250's thro to 1000's, split links fail too easily. When I've had to use one in an emergency I've always replaced it asap. Lost a coiuple of chains myself due to split links, not pleasent.
Above 60BHP, I'd always rivit

Hi,
I'm after some guidelines for clearances in a small spur gear plastic gearbox. The spur gears have been moulded with integral shafts. Gear material is POM, average gear size 22mm dia at 0.5mod, shaft diameter 3.2mm dia. Gearbox case is ABS. I'm looking at a gearbox now and it seems to...
