    Bitmaps in Inventor Drawings

Yes Mike the Bitmap is part of the tilte block. How can I control the the setting in the migration process, I assume these setting are in Inventor?

    Here's a part I'm having problems with.

David In the past with experiencing long rebuilds, I have stopped using the shell command. I know this can be quite labouriuos in generating the part using just patterned cuts and bosses but can be much quicker once done for rebuilds and modifiying. When think about it solidworks has to go...

    Joined parts?

I have found in the past joined parts can seriuosly slow down rebuilds. I have used them creating multiple parts in Mould tool design with the Cavity command. Tread carefully here as I have many times had 30min-1hr rebuilds. regards

    Bitmaps in Inventor Drawings

Is anyone aware of a problem with Inventor 9 regarding logo/bitmaps not filtering through to the printer from the 2D drawing. I can see the Logo within the drawing, but it disappears in the print preview. I have looked all through the settings for a switch but can't find one. I must be missing...

    INVENTOR versus SOLIDWORKS

Hi Kroth. Having worked with Acad since R11, Solidworks Since 94, and Catia and Inventor this year. In my opinion SW is more suited to me as a Product designer, But this is only my opinion. I must say once you have grasped the world of 3D design you will find the urge to use you 3D for you...

    Projected Geometry

I am trying to get projected geometry from an unused sketch in the tree, to be visible on a drawing. I can get the free sketch lines to come through using "Get Model Sketches" But only true lines come in, it seems to ignore projected geometry. Is it a case where I need to over draw to make...

    Removing or Cavity

Thanks Sean I have manage to use derived parts with no problem, and I have derived a surface to create a mould, I thought there would be an easier way, like the cavity command in solidworks, I can't see anywhere, where to subtract a component from another, or join even. It does mention this in...

    Removing or Cavity

Is there a way you can remove/cavity one model from another using Inventor 9. Much the same way as Solidworks has a cavity tool.?
