Symbol required for a car-sealed ball valve
CSO/CSC are different with LO/LC. The former uses wire and lead seal to limit operations to valve, people can break the seal in emergency situation. The latter uses chain and lock --- can't operate the valve until get the key.- ProPiper

See the corrected text below: I guess this is a reciprocating pump case, a conventional type PSV is to protect discharge piping from over pressure. 10% is the the rule from API 520. But I wouldn't do any calculation if we are talking a metering pump, I am sure 3/4" will...- ProPiper

Homayun, why you presume this is a balanced typ PSV? Merpp, I guess this is a reciprocating pump case, a conventional type PSV is to protect discharge piping from oper pressure. 10% is the the from API 520. But I wouldn't do any calculation if we are tlking a metering pump, I am sure 3/4" will...- ProPiper

Agree with Hacksaw, a PSV is suggested in this situation. PSV set point shoud be your downstream mechanical design pressure. Make sure your operating pressure is less than 90% of the PSV set pressure. So you will not get PSV popup too often. An alarm is also helpful, which should be set at the...- ProPiper
