We recently noticed that pull down menus are different depending on the OS. Until a few weeks ago, we only used Windows 2000 for Solid Edge users because of problems with WinXP and our older version of I-DEAS.
One new designer doesn't use I-DEAS, so we could use the preinstalled XP OS.

We see the same behavior here on a dual Xeon. SE never uses more than 50% of both CPUs.
I think that's because SE is not optimized for multiple processors, therefore uses only one CPU. CPU usage shown is the average of both : 1 at 100% and one at 0%, so 50% usage.
