ASME B31.3 Vs ASME Sec.9 impact thickness limitation

Hello all; I was reading the below link for thickness limitation w.r.t "t+6mm" maximum limitation as given in A5 of B31.3 table 323.1 (Prior to 2020 edition) https://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=495511 Now this requirement(t+6mm) is removed in 2020edition, it is being interpreted as 2T...

Tube to tube sheet welding Code issues

Hello there, We are doing a TTS WPS PQR for cladded Tube sheet(8mm SS with Carbon steel 122mm- Welding on cladded side partial groove in tubesheet 1.5 mm depth only) & SS tube(2.1mm thick) . The client specifies that "All TTS to be tested as per QW 193". so QW288, QW250 requirements kick in...

AWS D1.1 Interpretation for base material

Thanks @gtaw. I guess for the 3rd scenario, it would only qualify S275JR to A 36 only instead of Group1(Exact combination as per table 6.9(2020 ed.)
