I am getting an error when running an analysis using Abaqus/Standard. My analysis requires me to use results from previous file and also use submodeling.
I have one Globalmodel and another Abaqus/Standard Local/Sub Model from which I am importing the results to solve another Abaqus/Standard...
Thanks Corus for your reply, it helped a lot, I was thinking that we have to use the same nodeset name and element set name, I did a lot of trial and error runs and I have figured out pretty much how it is done,

I am having some doubts regarding SUBMODELING in Abaqus.
I am analysing a Beam with bolted joints, and I have defined two element sets and node sets in the global model and I am saving results for those. MY submodeling is driven by the global models, and I am having the same element set and node...
I have defined the Pre Tension section and applied the load on the Pre tension node that was defined using the *CLOAD.
Before I come to the error, I will briefly describe my model,
it is a lap joint, and I am using 3-D Model taking advantage of the Symmetry. The shank is in contact with the...
Thanks Kotawsu for your reply, this is very informative, but I have this doubt, when applying the *Cload do I have to give to the node that I have defined out side the 3-D model, or on the pretension surface that I have created.

Hi everybody
I know there has been a lot of discussion about this here and there are still some doubts existing,
can someone give me hints on how to represent bolted joints in 2d. I have a simple lap joint arrangement, and want to model this first in 2-D. I am using Abaqus and Hypermesh. And...
Hello Everyone
I am modeling CNTs (Carbon NanoTubes) using Abaqus, and Hypermesh.
Modeling is not an issue, but material properties is one that is creating problems, since CNTs are made of caron atoms, using Beam elments to represent the CNTs can I input the masses of each carbon atom and...
