Is there a list anywhere of the available variables that you can insert on the background sheets?
example from whats there already:
%{Author}
%{Created/@MM/dd/yy}
FILE NAME: %{File Name}
SHEET %{Sheet number} OF %{Number of Sheets}

I'm still quite new to SE and have been asigned the daunting task of integrating it into our business. We are a steel door and window manufacturer and as such seem to be a little outside the standard clientele of this product. This has made it a little difficult in following the file structure...
Ah, perfect. I was just able to rename the orig templates under the "General" tab to *_old and move them into another folder. Then I copied my *ENG templates into the "General" tab and renamed them all to Normal.*
now all the default shortcuts point to my english unit files. Thanks!
Is there an easy way to do this via shortcut? Its quite a pain to open via shortcut, close the metric new part then switch to more tab and find Normeng.par. Is there a way to set normal.par in english units perminantly?
ok, my senses finally came to me and I took this approach.
Drew the pattern close to the end of the part, then used smart dimension from the end of the part to the end of the pattern. set it to 4 inches and it worked! I did this on a test part. however when I tried it on an identical part...

Thanks for the help and encouragement all. I've managed to come up with pretty much what I need, however I need the pattern to center itself on the part even after it resizes. Could someone take a look at my par file and let me know if I'm on the right track and how to center a pattern...

how do I repeate a cutout every 8 inches on center? so if I resize the part it will adjust the number of holes accordingly
