I have been tasked with designing a 400 hertz induction motor. I am familiar with 60 or 50 hertz designs. This is the first 400 hertz. Reactances will be higher by the ratio of the frequencies.
The rotor bars I believe will need to be close to the rotor OD.

I am looking for a alternate to Aermet 100 for a high speed switched reluctance rotor. M19 lamination is too low in strength Aermet 100 stronger but sacrifices the magnetics.
Maybe there is something in between. Also Carpenter does not make Aermet in .014" thick sheets.
Anyone have ideas?
Specifically I am interested in any electromechanical applications were powdered iron parts could be used.

Looking for book on compressor design.
Need to calculate the pressure for any diameter impeller at any speed including the air density changes with temperature. Also need to calculate the flow in CFM.
