No, I need the links inside the Excel file (to other excel files) to be maintained also. Still waiting for my solidworks rep to come back with some solution or suggestions...
We are just setting up PDM Works, and had a question which our Solidworks rep could not seem to answer...
We have a number of parts/assemblies that are driven by external excel design tables (which are in turn driven by a master excel table). When we check-in the parts/assemblies into the...
Okay dokey. Seems a bit of a poor thing to have to do though. What if I had 50 toolbox parts that I decided to rearrange into new groups?!! I dont see why they cant make editing / rearranging toolbox structure easier - I thought I must have been missing something obvious. It seems not...
Has...
I think there is some confusion here as to what I want to alter. When you add a part to toolbox using 'add my parts' wizard, you specify a top level group, then a second level, and so on...
All I want to do is alter the name of one of the groups that I have created. This seems impossible to do...
It isnt actually a file path though, it is a path created within the SWBrowser.mdb? I just want to alter the names that are in the database, but it seems I cannot without having to use access.
Tools -> options -> data options -> edit standards data
allows you to do certain things, but you cant...
If I remove the files from that location (i.e the path that I dont want) and re-add them, will the old location remove itself though? I.e I dont want redundant (and empty) locations hanging around in the toolbox.
All I want to do is edit the location name, I cant believe that this cant be done...
Morning all,
I've added a few parts to the toolbox using 'add my parts' wizard, but now wish to alter the path under which the parts are stored.
I.e At present the parts are stored as the path:
Standard parts / Nuts / Misc
In the toolbox. If I wish to edit the name 'nuts' to something else...
Thanks guys. I'm using Solidworks 2005 SP0.
I cant see any problems with the design table, its pretty straight forward stuff in there. It just suppresses/unsuppresses equations and parts (show/hide). Its all things that I could do manually for each configuration, but I was just trying to save...
I have an assembly which is driven by several equations, which are in turn suppressed/unsuppressed by a design table.
When I switch between configurations, the design table is not automatically suppressing/unsuppressing all of the equations as desired. I have to open the design table and close...
Thanks, I'll give this a go. I assume you just mean draw a "dummy" sketch in the assembly file, and constrain the overall dimensions to variables A and B?
I have an assembly with overall sizes that are driven by two equations: "overall width"=variable A and "overall height"=variable B. Is there any way that I can drive these variables from the drawing of the assembly, rather than having to drive them from the assembly file itself?
Any help would...
