I just finished cutting 1mm copper on a baliu LC 1500 OG/RTX with a PRC 3.5kW laser.
The parameters that I used are:
Pierce: 1350watts (super pulse) 900Hz 55%duty 2bar O2

The black coated lenses have made no difference in cut quality or life for my company. We are using PRC lasers and have always used II-VII lenses, except for the free trial lenses from different companies.
The build-up I would think, is from not having an adeqaute purge in the beam path.
