Hi Srini,
I am afraid that i cannot help you on bolt pre-stress, but please tell me how the HyperMesh - Abaqus interface works as I plan to buy both programs.
Does HyperMesh support all of the Abaqus keywords?
Do you use HyperMesh to post process Abaqus results?
How good is the import of...
Hi Ted,
I worked with Patran Laminate Modeller to describe laminates for rotor blades for windturbines. In that application the fibre-layup is very important as buckling is an important failure mode (Abaqus geometric non-linear) With Laminate Modeller you can define each ply in a quite...
Hi Ted,
I've talked to the company and they explained that they have gotten access to the core of Patran Laminate Modeller. So in fact their product should be excact the same as Patran, which I know quite well. This is an excellent program for pre processing of laminated shells including...
Hello,
does anybody have experinece with the tool "Laminate tools" by http://www.anaglyph.co.uk/ ?
I would like to use it with HyperMesh to generate LS Dyna models, does this sound like a good combination of software.
My goal is to model composite structures taking fibre layup after draping...
Hi Ben,
I have been working extensively with the Patran Laminate Modeller some years ago and I recognise it to be a very good tool, but I am not sure about the LS Dyna interface. Also Patran seems to be behind Hypermesh when it comes to CAD handeling and mesh modifications??
How does Patran do...
Having the responsibility to simulate the performance of fibre reinforced thermoplastic crash boxes I am looking for suitable software to build FE models. The simulations will be done using LS Dyna (explicit FEM).
Because of the complex geometry of our components the draping process during...
