    Hollow Ball Valve

Ummmmm - if it was not "hollow", how would it work ?

    Steel pipe fitting acronym ?

WPB refers to a Grade B carbon steel weld fitting. DOsCJ is new to me - is it possible it is the manufacturer's Heat Code (which by code must be stamped on every fitting)?

    ANSI B16.1 RFWN??? Very confused

A B61.1 Cast Iron flange has the same bolt circle diameter, same size and number of bolt holes and the same flange thickness as B16.47 Series A. But, your flange is only marked B16, so no telling what you actually have.

    ANSI B16.1 RFWN??? Very confused

Sounds like you might have received a Class 125 A105 flange. Go to www.boltex.com to see dimensional specs.

    Piping Material Price List

Good luck on this one. In today's market, prices are changing frequently. I suggest you contact two or three local supply houses to get current prices.

    Straight Welding Crosses

Southcoaster, Call a few more supply houses - we sell crosses every day. A234WPB - other materials may be more difficult to locate.

    Blind flange

my two cents .............in addition to the facings noted above, there are vaiations to the raised & flat face flanges - they can be machined to either a phonographic serrated or concentric serrated finish (standard is a 125-250 AARH). Also available are Tounge & Groove - large or small - and...

    Smith Valves - Any Good?

Toothless, I think you already know the answer .......... Why would a valve company sell a product so far beneath the current market value ?? Every company I ever worked for wanted to maximize profit on every sale. I suspect the low cost is indication of the overall quality of the finished...

    Most ecnomical shut-off valve

We have a Lug Style Butterfly valve that sells for well under $100, rated for dead end service, use with slip-on or weld-neck flanges. Ideal for mounting actuation, unlike a gate valve.

    Forged Valve

sk10009, Are you the manufacturer ? If not, I would suggest you contact them as they may not be aware of the problem, or there is an explaination of the lineir indications that you have observed.

    allowable pressure rating for a 2" x 3/4" reducer?

To expand on TBP's comment, A234WPB is the Spec for carbon steel butt-weld fittings. It has been my experience that weld fittings do not have female (internal) threads. You could have a swage nipple with a male thread, or more likely you have a forged steel fitting with female threads - ASTM...

    Full Port Gate Valves?

.... While I have over 25 years in the valve distribution industry, I would never consider myself an expert. My experience is that even when a manufacturer presents the valve as "full port" it may not be suitable for hot-tap applications. In the wedge style gate valve, the seat rings are...

    Ladish

CRG is correct - Ladish was purchased by Trinity Industries a few years ago. They should have the old Ladish catalogs, or you may try calling one of your local PVF supply houses, as many suppliers still hang on to the old catalogs. . . . they can not be replaced.
