There is already a swivel fitting on the duct, I am all set as far as lining up goes. My problem is how to deal with an odd length of rigid duct. I suppose I could get a longer piece and cut it down to the size needed?
I'm only guessing that semi-rigid isn't the right stuff. I noticed that in new construction and remodeling, they use rigid sheet metal ducts for the kitchen, but for bathroom vents they use semi-rigid. I figure they would have used semi-rigid everywhere if they could.
I am replacing my range vent hood. I need to use different duct adapters, and because of that the new vent hood will not mate up with the ductwork. The ductwork already has a swiveling type elbow, so I can twist it to angle it correctly. But duct length is a problem. Duct pipe seems to come...
