From the application guide for the ALSTOM ISTAT transducer, it has t continuous rating of three times the rated current and can withstand 25 times the rated current for 3 seconds and 50 times the rated curent for one second.
Regarding the accuracy, Will that be fine if we use 0.2 class...
Aftergoing through your statements and the pocedure for synchronisation
my sugestion is that, you need to modify circuit i such a way that
1) one machine is strated fisrt and the corresponding breaker is closed to connect it to the BUS
2)then second machine is strated and it is synchronised...
The impact will be on the coupling bolt which is coupling Diesel engine shaft and And generator shaft. When you Synchronise the machine at more angle, large torque will be produced on the rotor of the the machine. So during next outage of the plant you can check these bolts.
