I have been working on the exact same issue as bleugene (needing to compute manning's 'n' for open channel flow), I want the formula that was used to generate the nomographs that the NRCS provides in tp-61 (last updated in 1966 when they converted to SI units) I used spreadsheets for designing...- minedrainageguy
