Double angle check for flexure and axial load

If i change my double angle profile to the attached new section (basically a WT profile with two stems), what provisions of AISC should i follow for checking of lateral torsional buckling, tees local buckling, etc.? Thank...

Double angle check for flexure and axial load

Thank you for your suggestion. How do you calculate the stitch spacing? Would you recommend a full height stitch plate or can i use a small plate at the bottom and one at the top? Thank you

Double angle check for flexure and axial load

Please see attached section profile. This is a 40 ft long beam, with a 18 ft cantilever at both ends. Thank youhttp://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=ec0f42ed-0254-413c-b8c1-cf679ae14473&file=profile.PNG

Double angle check for flexure and axial load

I am designing a steel trellis with some custom made L-shaped bent plates. The bent profile i am using is a double L-shaped profile, 5" x 28" x 1" thick, with a 3" space in between. How do i check the flexural properties of this shape? If one end of this profile is a cantilever piece, i do i...

Perimeter concrete wall with an L-shaped footing

I am designing an L-shaped footing for a perimeter concrete wall. My service-level gravity force is 12 kips/ft and 5 kip/ft for live load. What is the best design approach for designing this footing? I have been using Enercalc for the design of it, but the footing size keep increasing without...

    Plywood-to-plywood wood screw lateral capacity

I have a 20"x20"x1" thick plywood panel that is connected to a 3/4" plywood skirt. (6)-6 GA screws are connecting the two pieces of assembly (screw tip is 1/2 into the 3/4" thick skirt. What is the screw design value for single shear connection, and what is the plywood-to-plywood shear capacity...

    Search for Robertson QL-99 specs

Does anyone have information on Robertson QL-99 18 GA floor deck. I am checking a floor which was built in the late 80's. I know that the deck is 3" deep with 6" concrete on top of that. I need to know the span ratings and the profile of this deck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
